records and papers of the Court; make copies of such portions of the daily <br />dockets for each month as the law requires, and on the first day of the succeed- <br />ing month forward one copy thereof to the Clerk of the Court of Hustin~s and <br />another copy to the Auditor of the State; deliver all warrants to the Clerk of <br />the Court of Hustings at the time required by law-; collect all fines paid while <br />the Court is in session, report to the City Auditor the amount of such £ines <br />payable to the City and pay to the City Treasurer the amount thereof, at such <br />periods not longer than one month, as the Director of Finance shall prescribe; <br />keep a book to be provided by the City, in which he shall at the time a criminal <br />case is appealed or sent on to the Court of Hustings, note the name of the <br />accused~ his color, the charge against him, the names of the witnesses for the <br />prosecution and for the defense, the name of the surety, i£ bond be taken, the <br />date the case is sent on or appealed, and the receipt of the Clerk of the Court <br />of Hustings for the papers in the case; and, such other duties connected with <br />the Municipal Court as the Judge may require and as may be required by ordinance <br />or law~ ~ne said Clerk shall account to the City Auditor and the City Treasurer <br />for all fines, as required by ordinance. <br />Section 16.1-8. Bailiffs of Municipal Court. <br /> <br /> There shall be such number of bailiffs of the Municipal Court, as the <br />Council may prescribe. Said bailiffs shall be appointed by the Judge of the <br />Municipal Court, shall be subject ~o removal by the Judge and shall hold office <br />at the pleasure of said Judge° <br /> <br /> Said bailiffs shall have all the powers of police officers of the City. <br />Said bailiffs shall be under the jurisdiction and subject to the instructions <br />of the Judge, and it shall be their duty to collect all fines for which a <br />City mittimus is issued and to pay same to the Judge or Clehk of the Court <br /> <br /> <br />
