and to provide deputy clerks and other clerical help~ within appropriations <br /> authorized there£or. All such property and all records of said courts shall be <br /> under the control of the Judge thereof, and shall not be removed or examined by <br /> any person, without the consent of such Judge° <br /> <br /> Article II~ Municipal Court, <br /> <br /> Section l~.l-5~ Election and ~erm of Judge. <br /> <br /> The civil and police justice in office on the effective date of this <br /> Chapter shall continue in office for his present term., and shall be known as <br /> <br /> Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Portsmouth The council of .the City <br /> of Portsmouth during the month of July, 1962 ~and every! ~our years thereafter <br /> shall elect the Judge of said court, who shal¢ hold office for a term of four <br /> years, and whose ~erm of office shall begin on the first day of September succeed- <br /> ing his election~ <br /> <br /> The said Juage shall also serve as Associate Ju[ge of the Juvenile and <br /> Domestic Relations Court whenever necessary by reason of sickness, absence, vaca- <br /> tion, interest in the claim, proceeding or parties befor~ his court, or at such <br /> times as ~y be designated by the Judge thereof in order to equalize the work <br /> load of the said Judges <br /> <br /> Section 1601-6o Salary of Judge; collection and disposi;ion of fees. <br /> <br /> The Judge of the Municipal Court shall receive in full of all services <br />rendered by him such salary as may be fixed by the council. <br /> <br /> Thc Judge of the Municipal Court shall collect~ in whole or in part, the <br />fees as allowed by law for issuing warranss, ~rying or e~amining cases, and for <br />admitting persons to bail, and shall pay the sums so collected into the city <br /> <br />Section 16~!-7o Clerk of Municipal Court. <br /> <br /> The Judge of the Municipal Court shall have the power to appoint a <br /> <br />Clerk to serve at the pleasure of said Judge. <br /> <br /> The said Clerk. under the direction of the Judge, shall perform the <br />following duties: attend all sessions of the Municipal Court, or designate a <br />deputy clerk for that purpose, and do all the clerical work thereof; keep the <br /> <br /> <br />
