AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF BAINU3RIDGE AVENUE <br />BETWEEN GEORGE WASHINGTON HIGHWAY ~ND AYLWIN R(~D AND <br />TO DEDICATE RIGHT OF WAY IN LIEU THEREOF. <br /> <br />Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; <br /> <br /> t~ That that portion of Bainbridge Avenue ~nich lies to the north <br />o~ a line connecting the northeasm corner of George Washington Highway <br />and Bainbridge Avenue and the northwest corner of Aylwin Road and Bain- <br />bridge Avenue be, and the same is, hereby closed and vacated as a public <br />s~ree~, reserving o_uto the City, however, the perpetual easement, right <br />and privilege to maintain, operate and replace all public utility lines <br />now situate within the area so closed and vacated. <br /> <br /> 2. That that portion of George Washington Park which lies to the <br />north o£ a line connecting the southeast corner of George Washington High- <br />way and Bainbridge Avenue and the southwest corner of Aylwin Road and <br />Bainbridge Avenue be, and the same is~ hereby dedicated to use as a <br />public street of the City of Portsmouth° <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, a~ a <br />meeting held on Nay 24, 1960. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
