AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF COL~IA STREET <br />BEGINNING APPROXINATELY SEVENT~-THREE FEET WEST OF <br />ITS FORN~R INTERSECTION WITH FREDERICK BOULEVARD <br />~-ND ~IRLINE BOULEVARD AND EXTENDING EkSTWARD TO ITS <br />PRESENT TERMINUS APPROXIB{ATELY SIXTY FEET WEST OF <br />THE AFORESAID FOR~ER INTERSECTION. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth: Virginia, <br />that that portion of Columbia Street beginning at a point two feet east of the <br />property line dividing Lots 6 and 8 in Block 155 as shown on the plat of the <br />Virginia Realty and Investment Company, ~p Book 7, pages 98, 99 and 100, Norfolk <br />C~unty Circuit Court~ Which point is approximately seventy-three feet west of the <br />~Dr~, er intersection of the north line of Columbia Street and the western line of <br />Frederick Boulevard and Airline Boulevard, and extending thence in an easterly <br />~ir~ction to its present terminus approximately sixty feet west of the aforesaid <br />~rmer~intersection~ (the intervening portion of Columbia Street as platted having <br />~ee~ v~cated by ordinance adopted July ll t961) be and the same is hereby closed <br />~m~!~v~eated as a public street, reserving unto the City of Portsmouth, however, <br />~hei~ perpetual easement right and privilege to maintain operate and replace all <br />~ub~io~utility lines now situate within the area so closed and vacated. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of P,~rtsmouth, Virginia,. at a <br />meei~ing held on November ~4~ 1961. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br /> <br />
