provided, however, that such bond shall not provide for forfeiture with <br />respect to any default brought on by labor disputes or strikes which are <br />beyond the control of the obligor therein. <br /> <br /> No bus shall be operated hereunder unless its operation is pro- <br />tected by personal injury liability insurance coverage of not less than <br />one hundred thousand dollars for any one person and three hundred thousand <br />dollars for any one accident, and property damage liability insurance coverage <br />of not less than twenty-five thousand dollars. Certificates evidencing such <br />coverage shall be kept on file with the city at all times° <br /> <br /> Upon filing and approval of the aforesaid bond and insurance certi- <br />ficates, the applicant shall be authorized to operate buses as herein pro- <br />vided. <br /> <br />Section 16-51. Prohibition on carrying intra-city passengers. <br /> <br /> Except when operating a bus for which the payment under Section <br />16-17 of this code is being made, the said B. L. Barnes, his employees or <br />assigns, in the operation of the-motor passenger buses sh~Jl not take on or <br />carry any intra-city passengers, and for the violation of this provision by <br />the opera~or, his agent or employees, shall subject the said B. L. Barnes, <br />his agents, employees and assigns to a fine of not less than five dollars nor <br />more than one hundred dollars for each offense. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br /> Thi~ ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, morals and safety an emergency is declared to exist and it shall take <br />effect from and after 2:00 a.m., September 17, 1961o <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth at a meeting held <br />on September 12, 1961. <br /> <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
