AN ORDINANCE TO A~END SECTIONS 30-139.1, 30-140, AND <br />30-142,3 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- <br />GI~NIA, 1951~ AS ~MENDEE~ TO ESTABLISH CERTAIN PORTIONS <br />OF MacARTHUR AVENUE, qUEEN STREET AND WESTERN BRANCH <br />ROAD AS ONE-WAY STREETS. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />that Sections 30-139.1, 30-140, and 30-142.3 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, [951, as amended, be amended and reordained ~o read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 30-139o10 MacArthur Avenue between High Street and Perry <br />Street. <br /> <br /> MacArthur Avenue between High Street and Perry Street is <br />hereby designated a one-way street° It shall be unlawful for any person <br />to drive south on ~acArthur Avenue between Perry Street and High Street. <br /> <br />Section 305148. Queen Street between Crawford Street and Fifth <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> Queen Street between Crawford Street and Fifth Avenue is <br />hereby designated a one-way street, It shall be unlawful for any person <br />to drive any vehicle west on ~ueen Street between Crawford Street and <br />Second Avenue, and east on Queen Street between Second Avenue and Fifth <br /> <br />Section 30-142.3. Western Branch Road between High Street and <br />Airline Turnpike, <br /> <br /> Western Branch Road between High Street and Airline Turnpike <br />is hereby designated a one-way street. It shall be unlawful for any person <br />to drive any vehicle north on Western Branch Road between Airline Turnpike <br />and High Street. <br /> <br /> This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, morals and safety an emergency is declared to exist and it shall <br />take effect from its passage° <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held on July 25, 1961. <br /> <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br /> <br />
