(c) For all water which passes through the meter, the customers <br />outside the corporate limits of the Cities of Portsmouth and Suffolk shall <br />pay the following rates: <br /> <br />(1) For the first fifteen thousand cubic feet used in any <br />one month, fifty cents per hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br />(2) For any next quantity between fifteen thousand cubic <br />feet and one million cubic feet used in any one month, six- <br />teen cents per,hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br />(3) For any next quantity in excess of one million cubic <br />feet used mn any one month, thirteen cents per hundred cubic <br />feet. <br /> <br />The charge for water used, exclusive of the ready to serve charge, shall be <br />not less than two dollars p~month. <br /> <br /> (d) If any consumer is supplied by more than one meter, each <br />meter shall be considered as a separate service both as to the ready to serve <br />charge and rates for water. <br /> <br /> (e) Where more than one premises having different owners are <br />supplied by the same tap, ~this condition shall be remedied promptly and each <br />premises connected with a separate tap and service pipe by the owner. <br /> <br /> This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, morals and safety, an emergency is declared to exist and it shall be <br />effective from and after July t, 1951, except that such rates shall not be <br />effective within the corporate limits of the City of Suffolk until August l, <br />1961. <br /> <br /> Adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth held <br />on June 27, 1961. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
