gross weight of five thousand ~bunds~ or a motorcycle: <br /> aha t tz ~y mm±es per hour on such hmghwayo ~f the ve- <br /> hicle Is a truck, rcaa tractor, tractor-truck, or <br /> combination of vehicles designed to transport pro- <br /> perty, or is a motor vehicle being used to tow a ve- <br /> hicle designed for self-propulsion, or a house trailer. <br /> (b) Sixty miles per hour on nonlimited access <br />highways having four or more lanes, with the roadway <br />for traffic traveling in one direction separated from <br />the roadway for traffic traveling in the other dir- <br />ection by a physical barrie~ or an unpaved area; if <br />the vehicle is a passenger motor vehicle, passenger <br />bus, United States post office bus, pick-up or panel <br />truck not exceeding an actual gross weigjnt of five <br />thousand pounds, or a motorcycle; and fifty miles per <br />hour on such highways if the vehicle is a trmck, road <br />~racvor, tractor-truck, or combination of vehicles <br />designed to transport property, or is a motor vehicle <br />being used to tow a vehicle designed for self-pro- <br />pulsion, or a house trailer~ provided t~hat for such <br />highways such speed has been prescribed by the city <br />after au engineering and traffic investigation. On <br />any high~my where such speed is prescribed, the speed <br />shall be plainly indicated upon the highway by signs; <br />and where the speed lLmit is indicated by posted signs~ <br />there shall be a prLma facie presu_v~tion that such <br />er ~4Lineering and traffic investigation was made. <br /> (c) Fifty-five .miles per oour on ~igh~%ys not in- <br />cluded in (a) or (b) if the vehicle is a passenger <br />motor vehicle, passenger bus, United States post office <br />bus, pick-up or panel truck nov exceeding ~a actual <br />gross weight of five thousand po,unds, or a motorcycle; <br />m~d forty-five miles per hour on such highways if the <br />vehicle is a truck, road tractor, tractor-truck, or <br />co~ination of vehicles designed to transport property, <br />or is a motor vehicle being used to tow a vehicle <br />designed for self-propulsion, or a house ~raiter. <br /> (d) 'ib~irty-five miles per hour on any highway <br />other, thmn an interstate highway, if the vehicle is <br />being used as a school bus carry children, and forty- <br />five ,?~les per hour on interstate hig~hwayso <br /> (e) Forty-five miles per hour on any highway if <br />the vehicle or combination of vehicles is operati~ <br />reader a special permit issued by the State Highway <br />Co,,~z,[ssion in accordance with ~q 46.1-~30 <br /> <br /> <br />
