Sec. 18-1. Definitions. <br /> <br /> The following words and phrases, when used in this <br />chapter, s~hatl, for the purpose of this chapter, have <br />the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this <br />section, except in those instances where the context <br />clearly indicates a different meaning: <br /> <br /> (1) Antique motor vehicle. Every motor vekicls, <br />as defined i~ this section, which is over twenty-five <br />years old and is owned solely as a collector's item, <br />and is used for participation in club activities, ex- <br />hibits, tours, parades and similar uses, but in no <br />event used for general transportation, and has been <br />classified by the commissioner as an antique motor <br />vehicle. <br /> <br /> (2) Business district. The territory contiguous <br />to a highway where seventy-five per centum or more of <br />the total frontage, on either side of the hig~hway, <br />for a distance of three hundred feet or more is oc- <br />cupied by land and buildings actually in use and <br />operation for business purposes. <br /> <br /> (3) Chauffeur. Every person employed for the <br />principal purpose of operatir~ a motor vehicle and <br />eve~ person who drives a raotor vehicle while in uSO <br />as a public or common carrier of persons or property. <br /> <br />(4) Commission. The State Corporation Commission. <br /> <br /> (5) Coramiasioner. l~ne Co~ssioner of the Division <br />ofMotorYehicles of this State. <br /> <br /> (6) Dealer. Every person engaged in the business <br />of buying, selling or excbangir~ motor vehicles, <br />trailers and semitrailers in this city and who has an <br />estgolished place of business for such purpose in this <br />city at which place of business the books and records <br />of such dealer are kept and at which a substantial part <br />of the business of such dealeris conducted. <br /> <br /> (7) Division.
