Unless otherwise provided herein, an employee shall receive <br />the compensation set forth in the schedule under steps 4, ? and 10 upon commence- <br />ment of his £ourth~ seventh and tenth year of employment~ respectively, and then <br />only upon recommendation of his department head and approval thereof by the <br />City Manager. Upon promotion to a higher pay range~ the employee will be placed <br />in the lowest step which will afford Him an increase in pay, and thereafter he <br /> <br />will he advanced annually to the next highest step to ~hich he is entitled. <br /> Section §. Demotions <br /> <br /> Any employee who is demoted to a lower range shall receive compensa- <br /> <br /> tion according to the range in which he is placed by the City Manager. <br /> Section 6~ Transfers. <br /> <br /> Any employee transferred To another class of employment in a higher <br />pay range, shall be deeme~ to'have been promoted and ~hall be entitled to compen- <br />sation as provided in Section 4 above, and any employee transferred to another <br />class of employment in a lower pay range, shall be deemed to have been demoted, <br /> <br />and shall he entitled to compensation ss provided in Section 5 above° <br /> Section ?. Reinstated Employees. <br /> <br /> Any person who is reinstated within one year after he has left the <br />employment of the City shall receive compensation according to the range in which <br />he is placed by the City Manager, not To exceed, however~ the rate o~ pay he would <br /> <br />receive had he not left the employment of the City~ <br /> Section So Part Ti~e E~ployeeso <br /> <br /> Any person employed on a part time basis shall receive compensation as <br />prescribed by the City Manager. <br /> <br /> <br />
