Section 9. Overtime. <br /> <br /> Any employee whose rate of pay ia fixed on a monthly basis shall receive <br /> any compensation for extra or overtime work, except in cases of emergency° Any <br /> extra compensation allowed by a Department Head must be in advance of the perform- <br /> ance of the work and with the approval of the City ~ansger$ the same to be entered <br /> <br />bY the.Department Head on the next succeeding pay roll submitted to the City Auditor° <br /> Section 10. S~lary Adjustments. <br /> <br /> Salary adjustments to higher steps within a pay range shall be effective <br />upon the first day of the month following the anniversary date of employment in that <br />range. <br /> <br /> Section 11. Allowances. <br /> <br /> The rates of pay set forth in the schedule shall be deemed to include <br />the full compensatioa of the employee, and the value of any allowances made to the <br /> <br />employee by the City shall be considsred as a part of his compensstion~ <br /> Section 12.
