(b) For the purpose of this section the <br />retirement si ]owance shall be deterfmined on the <br />assumption that the retirement allowance is pay- <br />able to the member alone and that no optional <br />retiremen~ allowance is elected. <br /> <br /> (C) Notwithstanding the provisions of sub- <br />paragraphs (a) (1) and (2) hereof, any member <br />~no has retired on ordinary disability reTire- <br />ment under section 26-78, upon reaching normal <br />retirement age s[~all thereafter be entitled to <br />normal service retirement and associated options, <br />the annual retirement allowance being computed <br />on the basis of average final compensation and <br />years of creditable service attained at the date <br />of ordinary disability retirement. <br /> <br /> (d) ~nything contained above in this <br />section to the contrary notwithstanding, in no <br />case shall the retire~,~nt allowance to be paid <br />hereunder be less t,han twenty per cent (20%) <br />of the member's average final compensation. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />November 23, 1965. <br /> <br />Teste <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
