LAWBFR~CE STADIUM FOR ~ TEP~ AND UPON <br />CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN. <br /> <br />Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ Virgj.uia: <br /> <br />Section 1: It is proposed to lease, in the manner prescribed by ~aw, the <br />er~y known as Frank D. Lawrence Stadium for the term snd upmu the conditions <br />subject to the provisions hereafter set forth as Follows: <br /> <br /> An ordinance to lease to <br />the property kno~m as Frank D. Lawrence Stadium for the tepid--and <br />upon the conditions and subject to the provisions hereafter! set <br />forth as Follows: <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br />Section 1: The privilege of leasing Frank D. Lawrence Stadium is <br />hereby granted to , ,, <br /> <br />Section 2: Within thirty days of the final passage of this ordi- <br />nance shall enzer into <br />a lease with the City for the use of Frank D. Lawrence Stadium w~ich <br />said lease shall be uubstantially in the following form: <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT OF LEASE, made this 1st day of Jam~y, ~66, <br />between the City of Portsmout~, Virginia, a municipal corporation, <br />hereinafter called "Lessor", and ,, , <br />herei~after called "Lessee": <br /> <br /> WITNESSE~H: The Lessor, for and in consideration of the rent <br />reserved and the covenants and agreements to be kept and performed <br />by the parties hereto, agrees to let and rent, and does by these <br />presents hereby let and rent, unto the Lessee all that piece or <br />parcel of land situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, known as and by the name of Frank D. Lawrence Stadium, <br />including the playing fTeld, electric 11.~hting system, grandstand, <br />bleachers, offices and ail fixtUres and ~purtenances thereto, upton <br />the following ter~ and conditions~ <br /> <br /> 1o The term of this lease shall commence on the 1st day Of <br />January, 1966, and shall terminate on the 31st day of December, 1~66, <br />and the rent payable therefor shall be the sum of <br />Dollars, payable on the 1st da~of January, 1966~ and annua]]y <br />thereafter for each renewal° <br /> <br />2.
