I:)RDIHAHCE HO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF VIRGINIA AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Industrial Foundation, Incorporated; A. D. <br />Stowe aud Rhoda V. Stowe, husband and wife; a~d Boyce's Inco[zoorated <br />(successor to Jordan E. Turner Fuel Cor~0any, Inc.) hav~ made application <br />to vacate, close and discontinu.~ the hereinafter described szreet; a~d <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council, adopted October 26, <br />1965, viewers were appointed pursusnt to Section 15.1-364 of the Code <br />of Virgir~a, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described street, <br />and to report in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what <br />'inconvenience would result frcm discontinuing the hereinafter described <br />street; and <br /> <br /> WHERE~S, the said viewers have reported in writing that in <br />their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing and discon- <br />tinuing said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Virginia Avenue lying between <br />the north line of Detroit Street and the south line of Wesley Street be, <br />and the same is hereby closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, VirgL~ia, at <br />a n~eting held November 23, 1965. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
