{4} For each such machine used solely for the safe keeping <br /> of packages, bags, etc., for each compartment or separate <br /> receptacle, $0.50. <br />(S) For each such machine which plays music and shows motion <br /> pictures only, 210.00 <br />(6) For each such machine used for the washing and drying of <br /> clothes, where there is not a paid attendant on the pre- <br /> mises at all times, $10.00. <br />(7) For each such vending machine, dispensing merchandise only <br /> and having no amusement device, in which coins of five <br /> cents or over are deposited, $S.00, and in which one cent <br /> is deposited, SO.SO. <br />(8) For each coin-operated radio used in hotel or rooming <br /> house, $1.00. <br />(9) For each such machine of any other type or device, in <br /> which coins are deposited which may be allowed by the laws <br /> of this State, except pay telephones, $S0.00 for each of <br /> the first ten of such machines and $2S.00 for each such <br /> machine in excess of ten. <br /> <br /> Before'being placed on location for use by the public, each coin <br />machine must have the proper license attached thereto. The license re- <br />quired by this section may be transferred from one coin machine to another <br />such machine of the same type, provided neither machine has been placed on <br />location fdr use by the public. <br /> <br /> After being placed on location, the license card or license <br />plate shall always be displayed on and attached to such machine, and any <br />person having such a machine on his premises or in his possession with- <br />out having such license plate displayed on the coin machine, shall be <br />subject fo a fine of $10,00, and each day shall constitute a separate <br />violation thereof. <br /> <br />This'license is not proratable. <br /> <br /> (b) Every person selling, leasing, renting, or otherwise <br />furnishing a coin-operated machine or device operated on the coin-in- <br />the-slot principle, or placing such a machine or device with others shall <br />be deemed to be a coin machine operator. Every such operator as herein <br />defined shall pay an annual license tax of $300,00. The license tax im- <br />posed by this subsection is not in lieu of, but is in addition to the <br />other license taxes imposed by this section. ~lis license shall not be <br />proratable or transferable. <br /> <br /> The coin machine operator's license tax levied by this sub- <br />section shall not be applicable to operators of weighing machines, auto- <br />magic baggage or parcel checking machines or receptacles, nor to vending <br />machines which are so constructed as to do nothing but vend merchandise <br />or postage stamps or provide service only, nor to operators of coin- <br /> <br />- 21 - <br /> <br /> <br />
