for receiving and/or delivering such work, shall be imposed under this <br />section upon any person operating such business.in an adjoining city, <br />and having his plant in such adjoining city, where such city imposes a <br />similar license tax upon any person operating his business in and paying <br />a license tax in the City of Portsmouth and having his plant in Ports- <br />mouth, and engaged in such business in both cities. Not prorated. <br /> <br /> The intent ef this provision is to grant the same reciprocal <br />p~ivileges to licenses persons in adjoining cities engaged in such busi- <br />ness, provided such cities grant the same reciprocal privileges to such <br />persons licensed by the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br />Section 61. Cleaning, Pressing, Dyeing and Laundry-Soliciting: <br /> <br /> Each person (other than a laundry, dry cleaning or diaper <br />supply service establishment located in the City of Portsmouth and pay- <br />ing a license tax forlthe conduct of such business in the City of Ports- <br />mouth) engaging ~n soliciting, general laundry or dry cleaning work or <br />diaper supply service, where said person does the laundry, dry cleaning <br />or diaper Service work outside of the City, or has it done outside of.the <br />City, shall pay a license tax of $800.00 per annum, and, in addition <br />thereto, a license tax of $60.00 per annum for each truck used in so- <br />liciting business within the City. Not prorated. <br /> <br /> Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, a license tax of <br />$60.00 per annum for e,ach truck used in soliciting business within the <br />City of Portsmouth sh~ll be imposed under this section upon any person <br />operating such busines~ in an adjoining city, and having his plant in <br />such adjoinihg city, where such city imposes a similar license tax upon <br />any person~operating his business in and paying a license tax to the <br />City of Portsmouth andlhaving his plant in Portsmouth~ and engaged in <br />such business in both cities. Not prorated. <br /> <br /> The intent of this provision is to grant the same rediprocal <br />privileges to licensed persons in adjoining cities engaged in suck <br />business, provided such cities grant the same reciprocal privileges to <br />such persons licensed by the City of Portsmouth. ' <br /> <br />Section 62. Coin Machines and Coin ~lachine Operators. <br /> <br /> (a) Every person-having or exhibiting anywhere in the City of <br />Portsmouth a coin machine or device of any description into which are <br />inserted coins of any denomination that operates on the coin-in-the-slot <br />'principle shall pay a license tax for each such machine or devicej in the <br />£oliowing respective amounts per annum. <br /> <br />(1) For each such machine which plays music only, $10.00. <br />(2) For'each such machine registering the weight of a <br /> person, $S.00. <br />(3) For each such machine used for the cleaning and <br /> polishing of bowling ballsj <br /> <br />- 20 - <br /> <br /> <br />
