Sec. 37A-4. Definition of "premises". ~ne word "premises" as used in this article shall be taken to mean: A building under one roof ovnaed by one party and occupied as one residence or business, or a co~bination of buildings o%~ed by one parry in one conmon enclosure and occupied by one family or business, or each division of a double or tenement house having a vertical partition or wall, or a b~ildi~g of more than 'one apartment and havirg one or more entrances, or a building havirg a number of apart~nents or offices or both and having one or more entrances. Sec. 37A-5. Execution of contract and pa~ent of fee as prerequisite to connection with ~ter main. %~aenever a service connection with a city water main is requested, the owner of the property to be connected with such water main before such service connection is made shall be required to sign a contract pre- pared for the purpose and kept in the office of the water department cor~ tainirg the provisions as set forth in section 37A-6. A separave contract shall be required for each premise as defined in section 37A-4. The char~oe for the service connection must be paid in advance. Street, and ag~ree to be bound by the rules, regulations and ordir~nces now or hereafter established by the Council of the City of Portsmouth governing conditions of water supply. It is understood and agreed that the City of Portsmouth shall not be liable in the event of the s~oppage of the supply of waver and that if water is wasted on account of lesd~ pipes or fixtures or any cause, or if waver bills are nov paid at the proper time or for any violation of apy other rule of the Water Depar~u~ent, the department shall have the rio~ht to cut off the ~ater at any time o -2-
