That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1961, be amended by amending sections <br />18-148, 18-153, 18-171 and 18-172 thereof, ar~ ~y <br />adding thereto ~vo new sections numbered 18-151.1 <br />and 18-1~9.1, such new and amended sectior~ to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 18-148. Mmnner of parkirggeneraZly. <br /> <br /> ~nen a parki~ space in any parking meyer <br />zone is parallel with the adjacen~ curb or side- <br />walk, any Ve~kicle parked in such parking space <br />shall be parked so that the vehicle is centered <br />within the ~ndicated parki~ space when a ~park~tng <br />space in any ~a_~ki~g meter zone is diagonal ~o <br />the curb or sidewalk, tony vehicle parked in any <br />such parkirg space shall be pa~ed with the fore- <br />most part of such vehicle directed at ang nearest <br />to such meter. <br /> <br />Sec. 18-151.1. <br /> <br />Deposit of coin for purpose <br />of extendiog legal par~ <br />time prohibited. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person ~o deposit, <br /> or cause to be deposited, in a parxing meter any <br />~coin for the purpose of exte~vJing the parki~ tLme <br /> beyond the time allowed on ~ne mezer.
