(i) the m~,~er's actual period of creditable service plus ten years; or (ii) the n~nber of years of creditable service the maT~er would have completed az age sixty-five if he had ra~ined in service to that age; provided tb~t for any month prior to his attain- ment of age sixty-five for which the member does not receive a disability benefit um.~der the Federal Social Security Act thro ~=t~ja haviag been adjudged not to be elig_ible therefor, there shall be paid to ]~am~ in addition to the retirament allowance hereirmbove described, one-twelfth of one-~mlf of one per centtm of the first six thousand dollars of his average fi.~al cavL~ensation multiplied by .the sm~21er of (i) or (ii) above. Sec. 26-37. Refund of contributions upon with- ~rawal or death before retirement, (a) If a ma,mbe~ Y~s ceased to be sm a,mpl%vee~ otherwise than by death~ or by retirament mnder the provisiom~ of this article, he shall be paid~ on d~r~and~ but not later than ~_nety days there- after, the amounv of izis acc~nutated contributions ~aduced by the amount of ar~ retirament allowance previously received by h~n under ar~y of the pro- visions of this article; provided ths~ if the ~mount of the member's accumulated contributions prior to such reduction is less t.han twenty-five dollars, no such payment shall be made mhd the member's acc~uulated contributions shall be vrans- ferred fram the members~ contribution accomnt to the retirement allowance accomnv as pro'tided ~n section 26-28 (f). Should such a mamber die after ceasirg to be an employee but before retirement and before receivirg the amo~mnt of~s acc~nu- tared contributions, the amount of his accumu- lated contributions reduced by the amount of a~ retirement allo~,~noe previously received by him under any of the provisions of this article shall -4-
