(c) The co~ission shall conduct a city- <br />wide recreation pro,am. <br /> <br /> (d) ~ne commission shall submit annually <br />to the city ~anager~ ~aen reauested by ~m~ a list <br />of reco~mmended capital improvements~ for park s~d <br />recreation p~poses, ~n¢!udi~ the acquisition of <br />land ~nd bui!dir~s and the development~ L~pr~vement <br />~nd ~ainten~nce of same. Such list shall set forth <br />such projects as the co~v~ission deems necessa_~y or <br />desirable °~o be acco~olished d~rir~ the succeeding <br />six-year period. ~ne list shall be arra~nged in order <br />of priority~ with rec~endations as to w~ich projects <br />s~hall be a¢co~aplished in ~¥nic~ years with the <br />estimated costs thereof. <br /> <br /> · (e) The co~ssion sha!2 sub~it a report of <br />its operations to the council ~nually at the end of <br />each fiscal year and such other reports as may be <br />requested f~om time to t~ae by the counci~ or the <br />cityma~ger. <br /> <br /> (f) The co~v~aission shall promote public <br />interest in and understanding of the city's parks and <br />recreation program. <br /> <br /> (g) The co_u~mission ~a~y contract with consul- <br />rants for such services as it may require within the <br />li~it of the funds appropriated therefor. <br /> <br /> (h) The commission may provide, conduct and <br />supervise any form of recreation which will contrib- <br />ute to the welfare and happiness of the citizens of <br />Portsmouth~ utilizir~ s~itable facilities and prep- <br />erties o~,~ned or controlled by the city or otherwise <br /> <br /> <br />
