Witness <br /> <br />Section 37A-18, Payment of meter rates. <br /> <br /> All consumers supplied with water by the department of public utilities <br />shall pay for sar~ by meter measuraments at the time ard at the rates as pro- <br />vided by this chapter. Duty of department of public utilities as to meters. <br /> <br /> The department of public utilities will furnish, install and maintain <br />at its expense all meters except those installed for fire protection. (Ord, <br />No. 1966-108, 12-27-66, § 1.) <br /> <br />Section 37A-25. Meters generally. <br /> <br /> All meoers must be approved, tested and sealed by the department of <br />public utilities before being available for service. After beirg installed <br />no meter shall be removed or t~oered with by any consumer or other person, <br />and all meters shall be under the exclusive regulation of the department of <br />public utilities. In the event of a meter failirg to register properly or <br />bei~ removed for testirg or repairs, water bills will be rem~ered for an <br />estimated amount based on the average cormumption of the previous three <br />peri?ds when the meter was registerirg preperly. <br /> <br /> In the event of a cmmplaint by a consumer as to the acctu~acy of a <br />meter, it shall be rar~oved and tested by the de.~mrtment of public utilities. <br />If it ~ <br /> -s found to be correct the consumer s.haI! pay the cost of removing, <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br /> <br />
