Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. ~nat Section 9-%2 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1961, be amended and reorda~ed to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 9-12. National Electrical Code - Adoption by <br /> reference. <br /> <br /> All electrical construction and all material <br />and appliances used in connection with electrical <br />work and the operation of all electrical apparatus <br />within the city shall conform to the~rules and re- <br />quirements of the National Electrical Code, 1968 <br />Edition~ as ~mended, adopted by the National Fire <br />Protection As~ sciation for the ~stallation of ~_rir~ <br />and apparatus for electrical p-~poses, wb~chrules and <br />requirements s~e hereby ad6pted and approved add made <br />a psat of this Code as fully as if ever? word, were <br />printed herein; provided, that such r~m!es and reqoJre- <br />n~ents ~o~e not in conflict with the tatum of the state <br />or the ordinances of the city. <br /> <br /> 2.
