W~enever such amusement wit~n said park is operated by a <br />person other th~n the operator of such park, such person s~all pay <br />tfor such amusement the following license tax; $50.00, and in addi- <br /> ion thereto, $.30 per $100.00 of the ~oss receipts therefrom ex- <br />clusive of any Federal and City tax thereon. <br /> <br /> Any person other than the operator of such amusement park, <br /> who shall operate any amusement within said park, for which tickets <br /> are not sold, such as recordinE the voice, guessing one's weight or <br /> age, testing one's strength, ar~ the like, shall pay a license tax <br />· of $50.00. <br /> <br /> The license tax provided in this section shall not be pro- <br />rated s-ud the license for the operation of s-ny such park shall not be <br />contributed to authorize the operation within such park of s_ny hotel, <br />dance hall, motion picture theatre, theatre~ restaurant, store~ booths, <br />or stalls that are operated on the principle 6f giv~_ng prizes when one <br />may for a fee thro~ darts, toss rmngs, ~sn for nu~ers, etq., as a <br />method zo determine ~he type of prize to be received 'by the~ ~51ayer. <br />Nor s~nall the license tax provided in this section be construed to <br />authorize the sale of beer, wine or tobacco, or s~ny other business <br />or occupation for which a specific license is required by this ordi- <br /> <br />Section 40. Barber Shops: <br /> <br /> Every person who shall conduct or operate a barber shop shalI <br />pay a license tax of $35.00 per year for the first chair and $5.00 <br />per year for each additional chair, wi~ther used or not. <br /> <br /> Each barber shop shall be permitted to operate one boot black <br />chair and to sell $1,000.00 in toilet articles without payment of any <br />other license taxes ~nposed by this ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 41. Barbering or Beauty Culture Schools: <br /> <br /> E~ery person who shall conduct a barber school or beauty <br />culture school shall pay a license tax of ~100.00 for each such <br />school. <br /> <br /> The rendering by svudents in such schools, intheir course of <br />trai~ng~ of services usually performed in BarBerS'nops and Beauty <br />Parlors, sb~lt not require the payment of additior~l licer~e required <br />by this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Where mercb~mudise is sold at any such school, merchant's license <br />as hereinafter imposed shall be required in addition to the above license <br />tax. <br /> <br /> <br />
