TITLE. T~s ordins~nce shall be knovm as the "Gas Code of the City of Pot"us- mouth~ 1970f' and may be cited as such. Sec. '2. PURPOSE Adw~ S~OPE. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide ~inimo~m standards, pro- visiom_s and requiraments for sa_re installgtion of consumer's gas pip~og? ~nd gas appliances. Ail such gas piping ~nd gas applisnces-installed~ re- placed, maLntained, or repaired s~hall conform to the requirements of th_is ordin~uce and to the specificatioms~ rules~ and regulations entitled staltation of Cor~$~mer's Gas Pip.~g ~d Gas Appliances" 'Southern Stands_rd Gas Code 1969 which specificatiom~ rules~ ~nd re~u~ations ~re hereby corporated herein by reference 8ff~d made a pert of this ordins~nce as if fully set forth herein. Copies of such specifications, rules~ and regu- lations shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk. ~ec~ 3. GAS INSPECTOR .~_,~ ASSIST~D~S. This ordinance shall be ~ ~m' ' a ~' ~cmmnms~er=o_ and emIorced by the Gas In- spector smd such assistants as m~y be necessary. Sec. 1~. (a) The Inspector is authorized and ~irected to enforce all of the provisions of this ordinance, and the Ir~pector, upon presentation of proper credentials, may enter tony building or premises at reasonable tLmes for the purpose of ~=2kL~4 inspections or preventim~ violatiom~ of this ordinance. (b) The I~spector is authorized to discormect any gas pipL~g or fixtures or appliam, ce for which a certificate of approval is required but h~s not been issued ~th ~espect to ssnte~ or wb~ch~ upon ~nspection~ shall be fou=nd defective or in ~ach condition as to ende_~er life or proper~y. In all eases where such a discormection is made, a notice shall be tached to the pi?_ng~ fixture ~ or appliance discoumected by the Lnspector, ~,~aich notice sh@J[1 state that the samm~ has been discormected by the In~-
