;~N ORDINANCE TO C~JOSE PORT-iONS OF A~L!A AVF~ <br />AND BART ~2~0 CLI~RD S~S. <br /> <br /> ~S, J. Ovid Keene, Hosea M. Myers, Jr., Clifford B. Mason <br />and Catalina Development Corporation, have made application to vacate, <br />close and discontinue the hereir~fter described portions of Amelia Ave- <br />nue and Bart ar~ Clifford Streets; amd <br /> <br /> '~qERW~EAS, by resolution of this Council, adopted June 10, 1969, <br />viewers were appointed pUa~suant to Section 15.1-364 of the Code of Vir- <br />ginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereirafter described portions of <br />the said streets and to re~ort in writingwhether in their opinion, any, <br />and if arkv, what inconvenience would result _arom discontinuing the below <br />described streets; and <br /> <br /> %~F~S, the said viewers .have reported in ~iting that in their <br />opinion no inconvenience wo~/kd result ~om closirg a~ discontinuing~ said <br />streets ~ <br /> <br /> NOW, TH~qEFORE, BE IT ORDAI~D by the Council of the City of <br />Ports~outh, Virginia, that: <br /> <br />(1) Bart Street, from a point 90 feet west of .~melia Avenue, <br /> east,^~rd to its end near Winchester Drive; and <br /> <br />(2) Amelia AVenue, fmom South Street~ southward to its end near <br /> Bart Street~ and <br /> <br />(3) Araelia Avenue, from Clifford Street, northward to its end <br /> near Bart Street; a~ <br /> <br />Clifford Street, from the cul de sac near ~melia Avenue, <br />eastward to its end at the Seaboard Coast Line Pmilroad <br />Camp_any rig~ht of ray; <br /> <br />be, and the same are hereby closed and vacated as p~blic streets. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at <br />a meeting held July 8, 1969. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
