Sec. 18-27. Signals by li~ats or semaphores. Signals by lights or seFaphores shall be as follows: (a) Red indicates that traffic then mo'~ng slnall stop and ren~Ln stopped as long as the red si~ is sh~m~, except i_n the direction indi- cated by a lighted green a_~row. Green indicates that traffic shall then movie in the 'direction of the signal and remain in =orion as long as the green signal is given. (e) ~ne use of a flasb~p~ red light indicates that traffic shall stop before e~ering the intersection. (d) Officers of the law may asst~vm control of traffic othe~ise controlled by lights or semaphorss ~ sand in such event si~mqats by such of- fiears shall take precedence o-~er su~_~h light or sa~aphores.
