When and where copies may be obtained or inspected. <br /> <br /> Copies of the Fire Prevention CodeD 1970 Edition, adopted <br />by section 11-19, may be obtained au the office of the City Manager _ <br />'in the Municipal Building during regular business hours. Copies of <br />the Standards and Practices set forth in the National Fire Co~es, <br />t970-71 Edition~ are on file in the offices of the Chief of the Fire <br />Prevention Bureau and the offices of the Bu~iding Official and may be <br />inspected during regular business hours. <br /> <br />Section 11-21. Enforcement. <br /> <br /> The Fire Prevention Code ~70 mdlt_o~, and the Standards <br />~nd Reco~mended Practices set forth in the National Fire Codes, 1970- <br />71 Edition~ adopted by section 11-19, shall be-~nforced by the Bureau <br />of Fire Prevention. <br /> <br />Section il-2~ Modification of Provisions. <br /> <br /> The chief of the fire deuartmen~ shall have the power to <br />modify any of the provisions of the Fire Prevention Code, 1970 Edition~ <br />adopted by section 11-19, upon app!icatio~ in ~,~riting by the owner or <br />lessee~ or his duly authorized agent~ when there are practical diffi- <br />oulties in the way of carrying out the strict letter of the Fire Pre- <br />vention Code~ 1970 Edition~ provided, that the spirit of the Fire Pre- <br />vention Code~ !97G Edition, shall be observed~ public safety secured <br />and substantial justice done.
