Same; sidewalks. <br /> <br /> Any excavation nz~ie ~n any sidewalk or under a .sidewalk shall <br />be provided witJ% a substantial and adequate footbridge over said ~xca- <br />vation on the line of the sidewalk, which bridge shall be at least three <br />feet wide and securely railed on each side so that foot passengers can <br />pass over safely at all times. Any excavation of a sidewalk which disturbs <br />only a portion of the square or rect~ pattern will re~,~e the re- <br />paving of the entire s~a~e or rectangle. <br /> <br />Section 31-37.5. Same; water courses. <br /> <br /> The pen~ittee shall provide for the flow of all water coarses, <br />sewers or drains intercepted during the excavation work and shall replace <br />the same in as good condition as it found them or shall make such <br />visions for them as the city engineer may direct. The permittee shall <br />nst obstruct the gutter of any street but shall use all t~roper measures <br />to provide for the free passage of surface ~ater. The p~rmitt~e shall <br />make provision te take care of all surplus water, muck, silt, slickings <br />or other run-off pumped frem excavations or resulting frem sluicing or <br />other operations and shall be responsible for any damage resultin~ frc~ <br />its faiiure to so provide. <br /> <br />Section 31-37.6. Same; monuments. <br /> <br /> The permittee shall not r~move or. disturb any monur~nts found <br />on the line of the excavation work w%thout first obtair~ th~ permission <br />of the city engineer to do so. Permission to re~mve or disturb such <br />n~)raanents shall only be granted upon the condition that the permittee shall <br />pay all expenses incident to the proper replacement of such ~t by <br />the city. <br /> <br /> Section 31-38. Return to city or replacement of brides, etc. <br /> <br /> The permittee shall save and return to the city if it so desires <br />all brick or o~ mater~l taken up, o~ replace same if lost or broken. <br /> <br /> <br />
