A sufficient number of daily tests for available chlorine <br />shall be made by the pool opera~or and a record kept of thes~ <br />tests to insure proper operation. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-27. Quality of Water. The water at swimming <br />pools and family pools shall show an alkaline reaction at <br />all times when the swimmi.ng pool is in use. Whenever alum <br />or sulphate o~ alumina is used frequent tests shall be m~de <br />5o insure that the water has an alkaline reaction. At all <br />ti~es when the pool ~s in use the water shall be sufficiently <br />clever to permit the entire bottom of the pool to be clearly <br />vis~ible from the watkways. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-28. Records. Such records of operation <br />sha. ll be kept as may be required by the Director and reports <br />she!il be submitted to the Director as required. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-29. Interference with Enjoyment of <br />Pro~perty Rights Prohibited. No swlm~ing pool or family <br />pool shall be so located, designed, operated or main- <br />tai.ned as to interfere unduly with the enjoyment of their <br />pro,perry rights by owners of property adjoining the s~im- <br />min!g pool or family pool or located in the neighborhood, <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-30. Shielding Lights. Lights used to <br />illluminate any swimming pool shall be so arranged and shaded <br />as to reflect light away from adjoining premises. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-31. Compliance with Requirements of State <br />Department of Health. In the construction, operation ~nd <br />ma~ntsnance of any swimming pool or family pool state laws <br />an~ the rules, regulations and requirements of the State <br />Departmen= of Health shall be observed. In the event lof a~y <br />Conflict between the provisions of this Ordinance.and-any pro- <br />vis, ion of state law or requirement, rule or regulation of <br />the State Department of Public Health, the provision impos- <br />ing the higher standard or the more stringent requirement shall <br />be controlling. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-32. Fees. The fee for a permit to con- <br />st~uc= a swimming pool shall be the sum of St00.00. The fee <br />to construct any additions, improvements, alterations or for <br />the~ remodeling of an existing swimming pool shall be S25.00. <br />The~ fee for a license to conduct, operate and maintain a <br />swmmming pool shall be $50.00 payable annually. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-33. Polluted Water. No body of water, <br />whe:.ther it be a natural or an artificial body of water in <br />the city which contains sewage, waste or other contaminating <br />or polluting ingredients rendering the water hazardous to <br />~ealth shall be dsed for swimming or bathing purposes by any <br />pe~son or persons. <br /> <br /> <br />
