Sec. 14-22. Bathers with Communicable Diseases, <br />No person having any skin eruptions or abrasions, sore <br />or infected eyes, a cold, nasal or ear discharge, or any <br />communicable disease shall be permitted to use a Swimming <br />pool. Spitting, spouting water, or blowing the nose in the <br />swimming pool shall be strictly prohibited. The operator <br />of a swimming pool shall post suitable placards embodying <br />such personal regulations and instructions. <br /> <br /> Secl 14-23. Sanitation of Premises. The buildings~ <br />grounds, dressing rooms, and all other swimming pool facili- <br />ties shall be kept olean and in a sanitary condition and <br />maintained free from garbage, trash and othsr refuse. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-24. Cleaning Pool. Visible dirt on the <br />bottom of swimming pools and visible scum or floating matter <br />on the surface of pools shall be removed at least once daily <br />with an approved type vacuum cleaner or as ofter as necessary <br />to maintain good sanitary conditions. All swimming pools <br />shall be thoroughly cleansed at least once each week in a <br />manner and by the use of such disinfecting agents or cleansing <br />materials as may be required by the Director, and all such <br />pools shall be emptied and the water therein completely <br />changed at teat twice each week. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-25. Periodical Inspection, Th~ Director <br />shall inspect or cause to be inspected all swimming pools <br />within the city at sach times as he may deem necessary to <br />carry out the intent of this ©rdinance. The Director is <br />hereby authorized to enter upon any premises, prlvatc or <br />public, to take such samples of water from such pools at <br />such times as he may deem necsssary and to require the <br />owner, proprietor or operator to comply with Rules and Regu- <br />lations pertaining to swimming pools promulgated by the <br />Director in accordance with this Ordinance. In the event of <br />the failure of compliance after due notice with the Rules and <br />Regulations and requirements of the Director or the require~ <br />merits of this Ordinance, the Director shall have the power to <br />abate or cause a suspension of the use of such swimming pool <br />un~il such time as the same is, in the opinion of the .Dir- <br />ector, no longer a menace or a hazard to health, safety mr <br />morals. <br /> <br /> Sec. 14-26. Operation and Maintenance. Chlor- <br />ination plants shall be operated in such manner tha~ the <br />amount of excess or residual chlorine in all parts of the <br />poQ1 at all times when the pooi is in use shall nmt be less <br />than 0.5 parts per million, or more than 1.0 parts per <br />million. The chlorinator and tanks shall be installed in <br />a ~pe¢ial closet, with vent to the exterior of the building <br /> <br /> <br />
