(e) Separate Space for Bathers and Spectators. <br />The design Of th~ locker room, shower rooms and pool <br />~hall he such ~s to p~ovide prop~ ~utin~ Of bathers <br />and complete separation of bathers and spectators. En- <br />closures sufficiently high and strong to keep spectators <br />outside the runways of the pool shall be provided. The <br />pool shall be completely surrounded by a walkway at least <br />~ feet mn width. <br /> <br /> (f) Heating. All indoor pools which are to be <br />used when the outside temperaturs is below 60% Faren- <br />heit shall be provided with facilitiss for uniform and <br />adequate heating of the pool room, dressing roo~s, and <br />water in the pool. <br /> <br /> (g) Water in Pool. The wa~er in the swimmin~ <br />pool shall mee~ the requirements for a safe drinking <br />water supply. <br /> <br /> (h) Reei~culation. For new pools provision shall <br />be made for complete circulation of water through all <br />parts of the pool. The system shall be designed and <br />constructed so that a "t~rnover" of at least one time <br />in each 6-hour period shall be provided. 'The installation <br />in new pools of the "fill and draw" typ~' of circulation <br />shall non be permitted. For pools already in existence <br />the Director sl~alt furnish the owners with a program of <br />improvements and additions which shall be carried out <br />over a period not to exceed fi~e years in order to co~- <br />ply with the requmrements of the Director for aew pogls. <br />If, however, the "bathing load" of the pools already mn <br />existence is not excesszve accordin~ to standards pres- <br />cribed by the Director mn Rules and Regulations promul- <br />gated hereunder, the Director may ~esignate for such <br />swimming pool the maximum number of bathers allowed at <br />one time, or during any one day, and such maxima shall <br />not be exceeded. The "bathing load~ allowable for any <br />existing pool shall be computed according to accepted <br />public health standards, and the action of the Director <br />in this regard shall be final. <br /> A satisfactory recirculating system for the swim- <br />ming pool shall be mnstalled consisting of circulating <br />pumps, chemical dozing equipment (alum and alkali) or <br />surge tank, float valve control on water supply, hair <br />and lint catcher, chlorinator, indicator, recording and <br />totalizing instrument, flow meters, pre,saute gauges, and <br />piping connections to inlets and outlets; and all other <br />necessary fixtures and connections. <br /> <br /> <br />
