Sec. 10-31.2. Reports. <br /> <br /> The Auditor shall make ~uch reports as the City Council <br />or the Director of Finance shall require. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-42. Payment of personal property taxes as prerequisite <br /> to issuance of license, permit,~ etc. <br /> <br /> No officer authorized to issue any license, permit or <br />authorization required by the provisions of this Code or other <br />ordinances of the city shall issue any license, permit or <br />authority to any person unless and until such person shall <br />exhibit to such officer his tax receipt or certificate signed <br />by the city treasurer setting forth that the personal pro- <br />perty taxes assessed or assessable by the city against such <br />person for the preceding tax year have been paid. The require- <br />ments of this section shall be in addition to the requirements <br />of the existing law but shall not be applicable to any person <br />who, under the laws of the state, was not legally assessable <br />with personal property for the preceding tax year. Any person <br />falsely certifying to any fact required to be certified by <br />this section shall be fined not less than five dollars nor <br />more than twenty dollars. Any officer authorized to issue a <br />license or permit who shall issue the same inviolation of <br />this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Nothing in <br />this section shall apply to permits issued by the department <br />of public utilities. <br /> <br />Article VIII. Delinquent Tax <br /> Collector. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-71. <br /> <br />Bills for delinquent taxes to be turned over to <br />collector. <br /> <br /> The city treasurer shall turn over to the delinquent <br />tax collector all bills for delinquent taxes on real estate, <br />personal property and machinery which shall remazn unpaid on <br />the last day of January or July next after the same were due <br />and payable, whichever is earlier. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-72. Settlements with city treasurer; statement of <br /> collections. <br /> <br /> The delinquent tax collector shall settle with the city <br />treasurer daily, paying to the city treasurer the total amount <br />collected by him and his deputies and assistants and shall at <br />the same time submit to the city treasurer and to the director <br />of finance a statement of the taxes collected and any other <br />collections, in such form as the director of finance may pre- <br />scribe. <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br /> <br />
