Sec. 10-27. Duty as to officers receiving revenues of city. <br /> <br /> It shall be the duty of the director of finance, as <br />nearly as may be, to charge all officers in receipt of revenues <br />or moneys of the city with the whole amount, from time to time, <br />of such receipts. He shall also require of all officers in <br />receipt of city moneys that they shall submit reports thereof, <br />with vouchers and receipts of payment therefor, into the city <br />treasury in accordance with the provisions of this Code and <br />other ordinances of the city and the regulations prescribed <br />by the city manager. <br /> <br />Sec.. tO-28. Leases and ground rents. <br /> <br /> The director of finance <br />leases and ground rents and shall <br />to the city treasurer. <br /> <br />shall keep a list of all <br />charge the amount of the <br /> <br />Sec. 10-29. Examination of books, etc. <br /> <br /> The books, vouchers, contracts, bonds, receipts and <br />other papers kept in the department of finances shall be sub- <br />ject to the examination of the mayor, tt~e members of the <br />council, and the city manager. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-30. Schedule of mortgages, choses in action, etc. <br /> <br /> The director of finance shall keep a complete schedule <br />of all mortgates, contracts, judgments, notes, bonds, debts and <br />choses in action belonging to the city and confided to his <br />custody. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-31. Preservation, etc., of payrolls, books, papers, <br /> etc. <br /> <br /> The payrolls and all books, papers, etc., supplied to <br />the director of finance shall be preserved by him in an orderly <br />and systematic manner and, at the expiration of his term of <br />office, shall be turned over to the custody of his successor. <br /> <br />Article IV. City Auditor <br /> <br />Sec. 10-31.1. Duties. <br /> <br /> The city auditor shall make periodic internal audits <br />on all funds and all departments for proper charges, appropriations <br />and expenditures and of all departments, offices and agencies col- <br />lecting charges, fees, fines and other revenues for the city. In <br />case of any discrepancies said auditor is to report these discre- <br />pancies to the city council. The city auditor shall perform such <br />other duties as may be prescribed by ordinance, by the city council <br />or by the director of finance. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
