A~N ORDII~ANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- <br />GINIA, 1961, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 19-85, <br />~-LAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO SWIM, FISH OR CRAB FROM ANY BRIDGE AND <br />THE SEAWALL IN THE CITY. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the~City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, 1961, be amended by adding thereto a new section <br />nu/mbered 19-85, such new section to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 19-85. Swi~ing, fishing and crabbing from <br /> bridges and the seawall prohibited. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to swim, fish <br />or crab from or on any bridge or the seawall. <br /> <br /> Any person violating the provisions of this section, <br />upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not <br />_~es~.,than~ten ~olla~s~nor..mor~e ~ths~.~one~h~ur~!rad ~ol~ar.s ~o~ <br />by confinement in jail not exceeding thirty days, either or <br />both. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held July 27, 1971. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
