Section 2~98. Chairman and other officers. <br /> <br /> The co~Lission shall choose annually one of its <br />members to be chairman for a term of one year and until his <br />successor is chosen and qualified. The commission may create <br />and fill such other of.fices as it may determine. <br /> <br />Section 2-99. Meetings. <br /> <br /> The commission shall hold regular monthly meetings <br />on a date to be fixed by such commission. Special meetings <br />may be called at any time on the call of the chairman or any <br />two me~r, bers. A majority of the conm~ission shall constitute <br />a quorum. All meetings of the commission shall be open to <br />the public. The commission shall keep a record of all its <br />proceedings, which shall be a public record. <br /> <br />Section 2-1OO. Same ---To furnis~ city manager with budget <br /> requests and other pertinent information. <br /> <br /> The museum and fine arts commission shall furnish <br />the city manager, whenever requested by him, a detailed state- <br />ment of the amount of money deemed necessary by the commission <br />for its operation for any specified time and also such other <br />information as may be desired with respect to its operation <br />and management. <br /> <br />Section 2-101. Powers and duties. <br /> <br /> The museum and fine arts commission shall have the <br />following powers and duties: <br /> <br /> (a) To make a continuing survey and analysis of the <br />cultural needs of the citizens of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> (b) To ascertain, develop, construct, and <br />cultural facilities and to plan, promote and create <br />opportunities in the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br />maintain <br />cultural <br /> <br /> (c) <br />and private. <br /> <br />To cooperate with other cultural groups, public <br /> <br /> (d) To act as the official consultant and advisor to <br />the City Government and City Council of Portsmouth on all museums, <br />participating, and fine arts activities, programs, and facilities. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
