(e) To assist and cooperate when called upon by <br />other agencies in developing, establishing, maintaining, pre- <br />serving and publicizing places of historical, architectural <br />and cultural significance. <br /> <br /> (f) To assist and cooperate with the School Board <br />of the City of Portsmouth in improving the cultural opportunities <br />of students in the public schools of Portsmouth and to encourage, <br />promote, and provide cultural training and opportunities through <br />night schools and similar opportunities for adults and other <br />non-public school persons. <br /> <br /> (g) The museum and fine arts commission shall have <br />the control and management of the Portsmouth museums subject <br />to review and revision by City Council. <br /> <br />Section 2-102. Public officials to furnish information. <br /> <br /> Ail public officials shall upon request, <br />the museum and fine arts commission such available <br />as it may require for its work. <br /> <br />furnish to <br />information <br /> <br />Section 2-103. <br /> <br />Power to accept, eta., gifts; expenditure of <br />nonbudgetary funds. <br /> <br /> The museum and fine arts commission shall have the <br />power to accept, administer and expend for operating and capital <br />expenses, funds received as gifts or from sources other than <br />the city; provided however, that funds received as gifts in <br />trust shall be handled in accordance with the terms of the trust. <br />Funds received from sources other than the city shall be accounted <br />for and deposited to the credit of the city for the use of the <br />museum and fine arts commission, except that funds received as <br />gifts in trust shall be accounted for in a special fund created <br />and maintained for this purpose and designated as the museum and <br />fine arts commission fund. The commission shall have no authority <br />to enter into any contract or incur obligations binding upon the <br />city, the cost of which will exceed the unencumbered cash balance <br />of the aforesaid fund at the time when the obligation is incurred. <br /> <br /> Should the co~,~nmission receive and expend for operat- <br />ing or capital expenses any funds not included in its budget <br />as approved by the city council, the city council may direct <br />that the amount appropriated from city funds be reduced by <br />the amount so expended from outside such budget. <br /> <br />Section 2-104. Review of actions by city council. <br /> <br /> Ail actions of the museum and fine arts commission <br />shall be subject to review by the city council which may take <br /> <br /> <br />
