provision of this chapter or of any such ordinance, rule or regu- <br />lation shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one thousand <br />dollars ($1,000.00) or ~onfinement in jail not exceeding twelve <br />(12) months or both. Each day any violation of this chapter or <br />of any ordinance, rule or regulation shall continue shallt except <br />as otherwise providedt constitute a separate offense. <br /> <br />111.2 VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES <br /> <br /> Any person, firm'or corporation or agent who shall violate <br />a provision of this code or fail to comply therewith or with any of <br />the provisions thereof, or violate a detailed statement or plans <br />submitted and approved thereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. <br />Each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for <br />each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of <br />any of the provisions of this code is committed or continued, and <br />upon conviction in the court of jurisdiction for any such violation, <br />such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dol- <br />lars ($50.00), nor more than five hundred dollars ($500~00) or im- <br />prisonment for a term of not more than thirty (30) days. <br /> <br />SECTION 113 - CONNECTION TO PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SEWER <br /> <br />li3.1 O~ER TO CONNECT WITH PUBLIC SEWER WHEN ON LINE OF SE3~AGE <br /> SYSTEM <br /> <br /> The owner of every building now erected, or which may here- <br />after be' erected, remodeled or repaired, whether occupied or to be <br />occupied for any purpose whatever,~ shall cause the same to be con- <br />nected with the city sewerage system, provided such building or <br />premises be on the line of a public sewer, unless, in any case it <br />can be shown to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Health <br />that there is no necessity for such connection. <br /> <br /> All'buildings and premises, whether situated on public <br />lanes or courts or on such lanes and courts as have not been accept- <br />ed by the Council as public, when ~he same opens into a street on <br />which the city sewers are laid, shall be considered on the line of <br />the said city system of sewerage; and the owner of buildings and <br />premises on said lanes and courts, not accepted as public, shall run <br />at his expense, a lateral to connect therewith, and shall be subject <br />to this chapter and regulations made in pursuance thereof. <br /> <br />113.2 INDEPENDENT SYSTEM OF PLU~31NG REQUIRED <br /> <br /> The plumbing and draining system of each new building and <br />of new work installed in an existing building shall be separate <br />from an~ independen~ of that of any other building~ except as herein <br />provided, an~ every building shall have an independent connection <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br /> <br />
