The owner of any industrial plant may register with the <br />Division of Plumbing Inspection, one or more persons, regularly <br />and permanently connected with such industrial plant, either as <br />owners or employees thereof, who can satisfy the Board for Ex- <br />aminers of Plumbers that such person or persons have the proper <br />tools and knowledge to do water piping in a first class mechani- <br />cal manner and such person or persons so registered may install, <br />alter, or change any water piping in said plant. The qualifi- <br />cations of such person may be proven by exhibiting water piping <br />jobs previously done. Ail work on w~ter piping jobs in such <br />plants shall be reported for inspection at stated intervals to <br />the Division of Plumbing Inspection and shall be in accordance <br />with this chapter. <br /> <br /> Provided, however, that any person regularly engaged in <br />business of installing heating devices, hot water heaters or hot <br />water storage tanks may connect the same with the water supply <br />pipes in the room or space within which such heating devices, hot <br />water heaters or hot water storage tanks are installed. Plans <br />for such work shall be first filed with the P!u~ing Inspector and <br />a permit therefor obtained from him as provided by this chapter. <br /> <br />.SECTION !11 - VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES <br /> <br />111.1 REMOVAL OF FAULTY WORK <br /> <br /> When the Plumbing Inspector ascertains there is any plumb- <br />ing work in the City that has been installed contrary to the provi- <br />sions of this chapter, he shall notify the owner of the premises to <br />either remove the same or make same conform to the provisions of <br />this chapter, and if such owner shall refuse or fail to comply with <br />the orders of the Plumbing Inspector in said case, he shall upon <br />conviction thereof, be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00), <br />nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), and each day of re- <br />fusal or failure of compliance shall constitute a separate offense. <br /> <br /> The provisions of this section, shall not relieve the <br />plumber or his bondsman from removing or correcting such faulty <br />work as otherwise provided in this chapter. <br /> <br /> ?~erever in this chapter or any other ordinance of the <br />City or any rule or regulation promulgated by any officer or agency <br />of the City pursuant to authority vested in him~ any act is prohi- <br />bited or is made or declarDd to be unlawful or an offense or a <br />misdemeanor or wherever in such chapter, ordinance, rule or regu- <br />lation the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any <br />act is declared to be unlawful or an offense or misdemeanor, where <br />no specific ~enalty is provided therefor, the violation of ~ny such <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
