C <br /> <br />A~ ORDINANCE TO A~ND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, <br />1961, BY ADDING SECTIONS 18-332.1 AND 18-332.2 THERETO PERTAINING <br />TO HEALTH CARDS AND LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR ICE CREA~ VENDORS. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1961, be amended by adding thereto Sections 18-332.1 and 18-332.2, <br />such sections to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 18-332.1. Health card required. <br /> <br /> Any person or organization of any kind operating and dis- <br />pensing any ~ce cream product or other ice confectionaries on any <br />street or public way shall have a valid current health card as is- <br />bn%ed ~ by the Department of Public Health. <br /> <br />Section 18-332.2. Liability insurance required. <br /> <br /> Any person or organization of any kind operating an ice <br />cream or ice confectionaries vendor's vehicle, shall, before <br />operating under the provisions of this article, secure and file <br />with the City Clerk a policy or policies of liability insurance <br />· ssued by a company authorized to do business in the State in a <br />form to be approved by the City Attorney, indemnifying such person <br />or organization of any kind in the sum of at least $100,000.00 for <br />injury to one person, and $300,000.00 for injury to more than one <br />person for the same accident for which the owner, operator or <br />driver of such vehicl@ may be held liable, and $5,000.00 for pro- <br />perty damage. <br /> <br /> 2. That an emergency exists and this ordinance shall <br />take effect from the date of its passage. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held July 25, 1972. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
