AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- <br />GiNiAt 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 10-91 THEREOF PERTAINING TO <br />P~C!PROCITY WiTH OTHER LOCALITIES WITH REGARD TO CERTIFICATION <br />OF ELECTRICIANS. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> That Section 10-91 of the Code of the City of Ports- <br />mouth~ Virginia, 1973, be amended and reordained to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 10-91. Reciprocity with other cities~ counties <br /> and towns. <br /> <br /> Any person having an established place of business <br />in ar~ other city, town or county in the Commonwealth of Vir- <br />ginia~ and paying a business license tax to such city, town <br />or county~ and holding a current certificate as a master <br />electrician issued by the proper authority of such city, town <br />or county~ may engage in the business of installing electri- <br />cal wiring or electrical apparatus for heat, light or po%ver in <br />this city if all such work done by any such person is executed <br />by or under the immediate personal supe~vmsion of a holder of <br />a current certificate as a m~ster electrician or journeymen <br />electrician issued by the proper authority of such city~ to~ <br />or county, without the issuance of a certificate of qualifi- <br />cation as required in this article to such person or some <br />m~mber of such firm or corporation or a bona fide employee <br />of such person; provided~ the same privilege is extended by <br />such city~ town or county~ to any person having an established <br />place of business in and paying a license tax to this city and <br />engaging in such business mn such city~ to%-~ or county, provided <br />further that such offer of reciprocity is acceptable to this city. <br />Any person having an established place of business in and pay- <br />in9 a business license tax to such city~ town or county~ and <br />engaging in such business in this city pursuant to the reci- <br />procity provisions hereof shall comply with all other provisions <br />of law relating to such business and work done in this city. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held April 9, i97~o <br /> <br />Testa: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
