(a) Charges for the disposal of sewage discharged in- <br />to the city sewage system will be based upon the water consumed <br />on the premises as measured by meters, used for this purpose at <br />the rate of twenty cents ($0.20) per hundred [100] cubic feet. <br />The min%m,,~ charge for such services shall be one dollar ($1.00) <br />per month. <br /> <br /> (b) Charges for the treatment of sewage by the city <br />will be based upon the water consumed on the premises as measured <br />by meters used for this purpose, and shall be at the rate of <br />thirty ($0.30) cents per one hundred (100) cubic feet, or forty <br />cents ($0.40) per one thousand (1,000) gallons, for customers <br />within the City of Portsmouth. The minimum monthly charge shall <br />be one dollar and twenty cents ($1.20). For customers outside <br />the City of Portsmouth, the rate shall be thirty-eight cents <br />($0.38) per one hundred (100) cubic feet~ or fifty and two-thirds <br />cents ($0.5067) per one thousand (1,000) gallons. The minLmum <br />monthly charge shall be one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50). <br />Charges for dwelling units in premises with unmetered water con- <br />nections will be as follows: <br /> <br />Fixture rates applicable to each dwelling unit per quarter: <br /> <br />First sink .......................... $0.90 <br /> Each additional sink ............... 0.50 <br /> <br />First toilet ........................ 0.60 <br /> Each additional toilet ............. 0.35 <br /> <br />First batht.ub ...................... 0.50 <br /> Each additional bathtub . .......... ~ 0.35 <br /> <br />First lavatory ...................... 0.50 <br /> Each additional lavatory ........... 0.35 <br /> <br />First set of laundry tubs 0.50 <br /> <br />Minimum charge, per month ........... 0.80 <br /> <br /> (c) Minimum charges for premises or groups of premises <br />containing two (2) or ~ore dwelling units served through a single <br />water meter or connection will be determined by multiplying the <br />aforesaid minimum charges by the number of dwelling units so served. <br /> <br /> (d) Premises not discharging the entire volume of water <br />into the sewers will be allowed a reduction in the charge provided <br />the customer installs facilities satisfactory to the director of <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
