Section 40-101. Certain detailed designs, interior arrange- ments or features of a building, etc. not to be considered by commission. The commission shall non consider detailed designs, interior arrangements or features of a building or structure which are non subject to public view from a public street, public way or other public place, and shall not make any requirements except for the purpose of preventing develop- ments · ncongrouous to the historic aspects of the surround- ings and the Historic District. Section-lO2. Historic district and subdistricts; building regulations. (a) The Historic District shall contain one or more of the following subdistricts which shall be established by denomination as such on the Historic District map: (1) Historic Residential. (2) Historic Limited Office. (3) Historic Limited Business. (b) Historical Residential. The following regulations shall apply to the Historic Residential subdistrict and to all structures used only for residential purposes located in the ~Historic Limited Office subdistrict: (1) Uses shall be limited to single, duplex or multi-family dwellings. (2) Nothing within this subsection (b) shall be construed as limiting, regulating ~r preventing the restoration, rehabilitation, alteration or repair oflbui!dihgs existing on October 24, 1967, the date of the original establis~hment of the Historic District, unless such limitation is expressly provided for herein. ~ (3) Newly constructed buildings, structures and improvements or newly constructed additions to existing build- lugs shall not exceed three (3) stories in height. (4) New buildings, additions toexlstlng' ' build- ings or existing buildings to be remodeled to increase the humber of dwelling units therein may be erected or so remodeled only on lots or parcels which conform to the following schedule: -7-
