(d) General: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />When a building has been removed from a site, the <br />appropriate charge will be made whenever the new <br />connection is made. This will apply to any con- <br />nection whether or not it has been in use before. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />When more than one connection is made to a resi- <br />dential, commercial or industrial building, the <br />charge for each such additional connection will <br />be the charge applicable to the type of building <br />served. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />~'~en a sewer does not exist in the street adjacent <br />to a building site, sewer lines may be installed <br />by the city to serve such site for which the owner <br />of such site shall pay the actual cost plus fifteen <br />(15) per cent, unless the council shall otherwise <br />direct. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />(a) When in the ordinary course of business a <br />portion of a sewer collection system is replaced, <br />as part of routine maintenance and there occurs no <br />improvement to the sewer collection system, no sewer <br />connection fee shall be charged. <br /> <br />(b) When a substandard sewer collection system not <br />connected to a treatment facility is taken out <br />of service and a new sewer collection system con- <br />nected to a treatment facility replaces such sub- <br />standard collection system, a sewer connection fee <br />shall be charged in the appropriate sum charged at <br />the time improved service was made available, but <br />not to be less than Sixty ($60.00) Dollars. <br /> <br />(c) Any refund which may be payable under sub- <br />section 4 of this section shall be payable only <br />to the homeo%~er of record on the date the con- <br />nection fee was paid. <br /> <br /> (d) That such connection fee as provided in sub- <br /> section 4(b) shall be effective as of July 1, 1971. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held June 10, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
