of his official duties shall be paid an additional thirty- <br />five dollars ($35.00) per month as a clothing allowance. <br /> <br />Sergeant, <br />amount of <br />for being <br /> <br />(f) Police Officers in the grades of Police Officer, <br />and Lieutenant shall receive an allowance in the <br />fifty ($50.00) dollars per month as compensation <br />required to wear a hand gun at all times. <br /> <br />Section 11. Advanced Degrees. <br /> <br /> (a) Any employee who at the direction of his <br />department head or with the prior written approval of the <br />department head and City Manager or his designee, obtains an <br />associate, baccalaureate, or advanced degree in his field <br />or profession beyond that required in his position shall <br />be paid an additional five hundred and No/lO0 ($500.00) per <br />annum, such sum to be paid in equal installments at the same <br />time as the base salary is paid. <br /> <br />Section 12. Proposed Evaluations and Classifications. <br /> <br /> (a) The Department of Personnel shall perform a <br />continuing salary administration program %o insure internal <br />equity among position classifications. The salary adminis- <br />tration program shall include salary surveys, job audits, <br />and analysis of turnover. <br /> <br /> (b) The Personnel Depart~m~ent shall approve all <br />position reclassificatiens~ additions (New Positions) or <br />deletions prior to the action being taken. However, the <br />City Manager may implement changes of the abov~e nature at <br />his discretion in situations requiring immediate corrective <br />action. <br /> <br />Section 13. Allowances. <br /> <br /> The rate of pay set forth in this schedule shall <br />be deemed to include the full compensation of the employee, <br />and the value of any allowances made to the employee by the <br />City shall be considered as a part of his compensation. <br /> <br />Section 14. <br /> <br />Complements of Fire Department and Police <br /> <br />Departmen_t. <br /> <br /> (a) The authorized complement of the Fire Department <br />shall be one Chief, one Deputy Chief, eight Battalion Chiefs, <br />thirty-five Captains, thirty-five Lieutenants, and one hund- <br />red thirty-four Firefighters. <br /> <br /> <br />
