(b) The authorized complement of the Police Depart- ment shall be one Chief, one Assistant Chief, two Inspectors, seven Captains, twelve Lieutenants, twenty-eight Sergeants, and one hundred sixty-two Police Officers. Section 15. Salarias for unclassified positions. The annual salaries of the following unclassified positions shall be the amounts herein stated: (a) City Manager (b) Clerk of Circuit Court (c) City Assessor (d) City Attorney (e) City Clerk $37,600. 26,062. 31,5OO. 31,500. 24,190. The City Attorney and two (2) Assistant City Attorneys shall receive an additional Three Thousand and ~o/100 ($3,000.00) Dollars each annual compensation from the Portsmouth School Board for professional services rendered. Section 16. Uniform allowances. Any employee who is required by his depar~ent head to wear a uniform in the regular performance ok his official duties shall be furnished three (3) changes~f such uniform each week. Any employee who desires any additional changes shall assume the additional cost thereof and the City shall withhold from the employee's salary an amount sufficient to offset the cost thereof. This Section shall not be applicable to employees of the police division or fire division of the City. Section 17~ Flight Pay. Police Department Helicopter Pilots shall recezve a flight pay allowance in the amount of one hundred ($100.OO) Dollars per month. Section 18. Adjustments of retirement allowance. The adjustments of retirement allowances as pre- scribed in Section 31-68 and 31-155 shall be increased five (5%) percent. Section 19. Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances. Ordinance No. 1975-232 is hereby repealed effective June 30~ 1976.
