(b) In-Grade Progression. <br /> <br /> Each employee shall receive a one step increase <br />annually until they reach the O step of their grade. All in- <br />creases will be effective for the full pay period in which the <br />anniversary date occurs. <br /> <br /> No employee may receive more than one In-Grade <br />Progression per year, except under the provisions of paragraph <br />(c) below. <br /> <br /> In-Grade Progression may be withheld by the Depart- <br /> ment~Head upon submission of at least two (2) written warning~ <br /> to the employee, (with copies for the employee's personnel <br /> file), that his performance has been unsatisfactory during <br /> the course of the year. One warning must have been given <br />-prior to and one subsequent to three months before the em- <br /> ployee becomes eligible for the In-Grade Progression step. <br /> <br /> Any employee whose perforr~ance is such that his <br />In-Grade Progression is withheld for two consecutive years <br />will be demoted or terminated. <br /> <br />(c) Administrative Salary Adjustments. <br /> <br /> The City Manager retains the authority to make adm- <br />inistrative salary adjustments. Such adjustments include, <br />but are not limited to: <br /> <br /> (1) Special performance recognition. <br /> <br /> (2) Approval of departmental requests <br /> special salary actions. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Correction of verified errors <br />cation of %he Pay Plan. <br /> <br /> for <br />in appli- <br /> <br />(d) Application. <br /> <br /> The Director of Personnel shall be responsible for <br />the application of this Compensation and Salary Adjustment <br />Section. <br /> <br /> This responsibility includes the application of this <br />section to the Pay Schedu!e~ and clarification and resolution <br />of any problems or questions not specifically covered by <br />Classification and Pay Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
