AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- <br />GINIA, 1973, BY AM~ENDING AND REORDAINING SECTION 40-71(b) OF <br />SAID CODE PERTAINING TO THE USES WHICH ARE PERMITTED WITHIN <br />THE COMMERCIAL C-2 DISTRICT UPON THE GRANTING OF A USE PEP~4IT. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 40-71(b) of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended and reordained to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> (b) Within the Commercial C-2 District, the <br />following uses may be permitted upon the granting of a use <br />permit as provided in this Article: <br /> <br />Bakeries for baking plants; <br />Bottling works; <br />Fortune tellers, clairvoyants and practiotioners <br /> of palmistry and phrenology; <br />Group homes; <br />Group residence; <br />Heliports; <br />Hospitals and sanitariums; <br />Kennels; <br />Massage parlors and other commercial enterprises <br /> offering the services of masseuse or masseur; <br />Parking facility for motor homes, c~mpers or <br />camp trailers and boat trailers; prbvided that <br />habitation or any use othe~ than parking or <br />storage of the aforesaid vehicles shall not <br />be permitted; <br />Storage warehouses and yards; <br />Wholesaling and jobing establishments. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 26, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
