AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREET: A PORTION OF <br />KING STREET }9~qICH IS BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY THE WEST RIGHT- <br />OF-WAY LINE OF }Ik.~4ILTON AVENUE AND BOU.~DED ON THE ~EST BY <br />THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF AIRLI~E BOULEVARD. (S-76-22). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia has made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the herein- <br />after described portions of a certain street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution of this Council adopted <br />August 10, 1976, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section <br />15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the <br />hereinafter described portion of said street, and to report <br />in writing %~hether in their opinion any, and if any~ what <br />~nconvenience would result from discontinuing the below <br />described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the said viewers have reported in witting <br />%hat in their opinion no inconvenience would result from <br />%he closing and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br />the <br />street <br />public <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDALArED by the Council of <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of said <br /> hereinafter described, be closed and ~acated as a <br /> street: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain parcel of land, lying <br />and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />and comprising that portion of King Street <br />which is bounded on the east by the west right <br />of way line of Hamilton Avenue and bounded on <br />the west by the east right of way line of Air- <br />line Boulevard. <br /> <br /> AND, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the same is hereby <br />closed and vacated as a public street, that the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia reserves unto itself perpetual easements, <br />r~ghts and privileges to install, maintain, opera~, and <br />replace gas mains, sewer mains, sewer drains, sanitary sewers, <br />storm d~ains, water mains and laterals and electric power <br />lines within, over, under and across those portions of King <br />Street heretofore described. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of ~he City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginma, a% a meeting held August 24, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
