Section 2-241. Powers and duties of the C~L,~ssion. <br /> <br />The powers and duties of the Cu~,~ssion shall be as foll~s: <br /> <br /> (1) To interest itself in all matters pertaining to the social <br />welfare of the people of the City; <br /> <br /> {2) To monitor the formulation and i~plem~ntation of social <br />welfare progr~ns in the City; <br /> <br /> (3) To meet with the officer in charge of the Department of Social <br />Services at least four (4) times a year for the purpose of making re- <br />coa~endations on policy matters concerning the department; <br /> <br /> (4) To make an annual report to the City Council, concurrent with <br />the budget presentation of the department, concerning the administration <br />of the Social Services Department; and <br /> <br /> (5) To submit to the City Council, frc~ time to time, other reports <br />that the Commission dean appropriate. <br /> <br />Section 2-242. Ex-officio members. <br /> <br /> The director of Social Services shall be an ex-officio member, <br />without vote, of the Commission. <br /> <br />2.
