AN ORDINTa/qCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOLS~, VIRGIN/A, <br />1973, B~ AMenDING S5%'~'ION 35-115 ~/~EREOF; PER/~d/AING TO CO~.T.WCTIC~ AND <br />P~C~TING OF UTILITY TAXES. <br /> <br />HE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Poz+~mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 35-115 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1973, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 35-115. Collection; Report. <br /> <br /> It shall be the duty of every seller Ln acting as the tax collection <br />~a or agency for tb~ City to collect fr~u the purchaser for the use <br />of the City, the tax hereby /reposed and levied at the t4me of collecting <br />the purchase price charge for the utility service, and the taxes collected <br />d~ring each calendar month shall be reported and remitted by each seller <br />to the City Treasurer on or before the last day of the follc~dng calendar <br />mu~th thereafter. ~e required report shall be in such fonm as may be <br />prescribed by the Director of Finance and the City Treasurer. <br /> <br />2.
